Political Forecasting or TRUE Prophecy? 2025 Prophecy Review: Perry Stone, Joseph Z & Julie Green

Is it prophecy, political forecasting or wishful thinking? How do we separate divine revelation from educated guessing? We’re examining and testing national prophetic words given for 2025.

In this episode of Remnant Radio, Joshua Lewis, Michael Miller & Michael Rowntree lead a biblical analysis of national prophetic declarations for 2025 from Perry Stone, Joseph Z, and Julie Green.

As we review their specific prophecies for 2025, we'll discuss: • Distinguishing divine prophecy from political guestimates • The use of “prophetic tools” such as Hebrew calendar, Hebrew alphabet and biblical numerology • Testing modern prophetic words biblically • Maintaining prophetic accountability • Charismatic discernment in modern times

Whether you’re charismatic, skeptical, or simply seeking biblical wisdom about testing prophecy, this episode provides essential insights for navigating today’s prophetic landscape. Join us as we hold fast to what is good while testing everything (1 Thess 5:21).

Before Genesis: The Eternal Covenant That Shapes Everything

What if the Bible’s story didn’t start in Genesis, but in eternity past? Discover the eternal covenant between Father and Son that shapes all of Scripture and salvation history.

In this episode of Remnant Radio, Joshua Lewis sits down with Dr. Ryan McGraw, professor of systematic theology at Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, to unpack the powerful doctrine of Covenant Theology.

But this isn’t just about ancient agreements—it’s about the eternal plan of salvation crafted before time began. Dr. McGraw lays out the “covenant of redemption,” the intra-Trinitarian agreement between the Father and the Son to redeem a people through the perfect obedience and atoning death of Christ. This covenant provides the foundation for everything that unfolds in redemptive history—from Adam’s failure under the covenant of works, to the unfolding covenant of grace that culminates in Christ and continues through the Church.

Together, they trace the storyline of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation, showing how the theme of covenant brings coherence and clarity to God’s dealings with His people. You’ll hear how the law reveals not just commands, but the very character of God; how the gospel is embedded even in the earliest pages of the Old Testament; and how the biblical distinction between the seed of the woman and the seed of the serpent runs throughout all redemptive history. Whether you’re new to covenant theology or looking to deepen your theological roots, this episode will help you see that the Bible is not a disjointed anthology—but a breathtaking, unified narrative of God’s eternal purpose in Christ.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:

Have a theology question? Drop it here. While we can't guarantee we'll tackle every question, we'll dive into one or two each week. So, fire away and let's explore together!

Question from Alisha in Canada: If sin is an open door to demons and Christians sin on a daily basis (1 John 1:8) would this imply that we could need constant deliverance for a lifetime?

Answer: This question highlights a common concern among believers. It’s true that 1 John 1:8 says, “If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us,” and that can lead to the worry that we’re constantly opening the door to demonic influence.

Sin can create vulnerabilities and opportunities for demonic influence. Unrepentant sin or habitual sin can weaken our spiritual defenses. And, as much as we hate to admit it, even after salvation, we still grapple with our sinful nature. Paul talks about this tension in Romans 7.

But, we should not (and need not) live in constant fear of demonic attack - that isn't freedom. Rather, we should live a life of repentance, obedience, and dependence on God’s grace. When we stumble, we confess, we repent, and we get back up. We don’t give the enemy a foothold (Ephesians 4:27). We resist him, and he will flee from us (James 4:7).

There may be times when specific strongholds or demonic influences need to be addressed through targeted prayer and deliverance. But it shouldn’t be a constant, fear-driven cycle.

Think of it this way:

It’s like taking a shower. We don’t need to take a shower every five minutes to stay clean. But we do need to practice good hygiene on a daily basis, and there may be times when we need a more thorough cleaning.

So, take heart! You are not doomed to a lifetime of constant deliverance. You have the power of the Holy Spirit within you, and you have authority over demonic forces through the name of Jesus. Focus on walking in obedience to God, practicing the spiritual disciplines, and trust in His grace to keep you safe.

And remember what Paul said in 1 Corinthians 10:13: “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

When Theologians Turn on Each Other: What Owen vs. Baxter Teaches Us About Christian Division

What happens when two theological giants who love Jesus have a FIERY public fallout? The forgotten conflict between Puritans John Owen and Richard Baxter holds a sobering lesson for today.

In this episode of Remnant Radio, we sit down with Dr. Tim Cooper, professor of church history at the University of Otago and leading scholar on 17th-century Puritanism, to unpack the intense disagreement between Owen and Baxter—two titans of the post-Reformation era. Despite their shared love for Christ, Scripture, and the Gospel, their clash over salvation, church structure, and Christian ethics led to a public split that fractured the Puritan movement. Their story shows us how pride, personality, and past wounds can tragically impact even important theological debates.

But this isn’t just fascinating history! This episode is a direct challenge to today’s church. As theological disputes rage online and in person, the Owen–Baxter conflict raises urgent questions for us:

  • How should believers navigate public disagreement biblically?

  • When does contending for truth accidentally lead to unnecessary division?

  • What kind of Christ-like character must accompany our doctrine?

If you’ve ever wrestled with how to hold strong convictions while still loving others and avoiding toxic conflict, this conversation is for you.
