Can We Command Demons to Be QUIET? | Demonic Manifestations Explained

Screaming, convulsions, vomiting… Is THAT what biblical deliverance looks like? Do demons get to put on a dramatic show? Or, when a demon manifests, do we have the authority to command it to stop?

Join us as we explain demonic manifestations. We'll explore the biblical accounts of Jesus casting out demons, examining how modern deliverance ministry compares to New Testament examples. From dramatic manifestations to quiet deliverances, we’ll explore what Scripture actually teaches about authority over evil spirits and whether we have the right to command how demons leave.

Whether you’re actively involved in deliverance ministry or simply seeking biblical truth about spiritual warfare, this episode cuts through the confusion, hype, and conflicting teachings. Get ready for a fascinating journey into what Jesus modeled about freedom from demonic oppression - the answer might surprise you.

Tongues, Prosperity, & False Assurance: Allen Parr Sounds the Alarm

When spiritual gifts become spiritual chains: YouTube’s Allen Parr joins us to expose how false teachings are holding believers captive to unbiblical requirements.

In this powerful episode of Remnant Radio, Josh Lewis and Michael Rowntree sit down with Allen Parr, creator of The Beat and author of Misled: 7 Lies That Distort the Gospel. We explore the heart of false gospel messages that have crept into the charismatic and Pentecostal movements—touching on everything from tongues without interpretation, to the health and wealth gospel, to the dangerous claim that speaking in tongues is necessary for salvation.

We discuss how teachings that seem biblical on the surface can lead believers far from the gospel clarity found in Christ alone. If you're wrestling with discernment in the church or questioning teachings on spiritual gifts, seed faith doctrine, or the role of the Holy Spirit, this is a conversation you don’t want to miss.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Have a theology question? Drop it here. While we can't guarantee we'll tackle every question, we'll dive into one or two each week. So, fire away and let's explore together!

Question from Val in Wisconsin: So in response to your response to Estelle from Ohio about women being ordained- do you believe women should be Pastors?

Answer: All three of us are complementarian. In our view, that means men and women are absolutely equal in essence, dignity, and value and are complementary by divine design. Gender does not merely represent a social construct but, instead, represents a reality present in every human from birth. Men and women are not interchangeable. From the opening pages of Scripture, we find that God, in His wisdom and providence, created two complementary sexes for our good and His glory. In light of His good created order, and the fact that men and women both share in divine image bearing, God intends for men and women to have different yet complementary roles and responsibilities in the church and home.

These role distinctions do not arise from cultural definitions of masculinity and femininity but are an integral part of God’s plan for humanity, as revealed in Scripture. We would recognize them as God’s grace to men and women, protecting, preserving and practicing them for His glory, our joy and for the sake of human flourishing.

That said, we would not identify this as a top tier salvation issue, but rather differing views among Christian brothers and sisters.

Question from Pam in Montana: You interviewed Randy Clark with NAR, which I saw. Our pastor is asking us to follow a prayer ministry book by him that includes SOZO prayer. I am hesitant to do so as it comes from Bethel and things that have come out of there. Will you let me know your thoughts on NAR and R. Clark. Also sozo prayer.

Answer: Our interview of Randy Clark was his response to our previous episode with Dr. Doug Geivett and Holly Pivec providing critique on the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR). You can see the episode with Doug and Holly here. We’ve hosted several episodes coming against the teachings and practices in the NAR, including Bethel. You can see those in our playlist on Policing the Charismatic Movement. Finally, we also addressed Sozo in an episode, sifting through the good and bad aspects of the ministry. We have not reviewed Randy’s book, so unfortunately can not provide specific feedback. Overall, we would not recommend materials coming from the New Apostolic Reformation. Hope this helps. Blessings!

SHOWS LAST WEEK

If you missed joining the Live Chat, you can still catch the episodes:

Revival VS Revivalism: The TRUTH About Revival

Is your pursuit of revival drawing you closer to God or burning you out? Let's examine the critical difference between authentic spiritual awakening versus chasing manufactured revivalism.

Throughout history, genuine moves of God have transformed communities through prayer and hunger for His presence. But for every authentic revival, countless Christians have burned out chasing emotional experiences and worldwide impact at any cost. We’ll examine how true revival, like waves in the ocean, can’t be manufactured - but we can position ourselves to catch that next wave of what God is doing.

Join us as we explore the biblical path to revival without falling into the trap of revivalism. Whether you’re longing for deeper encounters with God, concerned about modern revival movements, or simply trying to discern what’s authentic, this conversation will help you navigate the difference between striving and surrender in pursuit of God’s presence.
