Reverend David Miller spent three years researching his book Redacted, and the pattern he found is hard to ignore: deliverance and revival move together, and when one gets removed, the other collapses. David traces that arc from the early church fathers through the Reformation, making the case that the modern assumption that Christians can't have a demon isn't ancient orthodoxy. Rather, it's a theological pendulum swing traceable directly to John Calvin's response to Catholic abuses.
We also dig into Azusa Street, where David argues Parham's critique was a legitimate spiritual diagnosis. Bizarre manifestations, moral fractures among leaders, and the sidelining of deliverance point to something darker than the standard Pentecostal narrative admits. We close with the 20th-century resurgence through Derek Prince, Frank Hammond, and others, and help you figure out where to start if deliverance is new to you.
