SHOWS THIS WEEK

Tune in to The Remnant Radio and join the Remnant Community Live Chat on Monday’s and Wednesday’s at 4:00 p.m. CST / UTC-6.

Let’s Talk About Demonization

Join us for Part 2 of our response to Alisa Childers’ series on deliverance ministry as we dive deeper into crucial questions about spiritual authority in the modern church. Does the New Testament really give believers authority over demons? How should we understand Jesus’s teachings about the Kingdom in relation to spiritual warfare today? We’ll examine these questions through careful biblical exposition while maintaining our commitment to both Scripture’s authority and the reality of spiritual warfare.

Join us LIVE on Monday, March 3 at 4:00 p.m. CST/UTC-6.

THE LAW OF CHRIST: Interview with Professor R. L. Solberg

Join us with Professor R.L. Solberg as we dive into his new book “The Law, the Christ, the Promise” - a verse-by-verse journey through Galatians that couldn’t be more timely for today’s Christian. Solberg’s analysis of Paul’s defense against false teaching provides crucial insights for believers seeking to understand and defend the true Gospel. Whether you’re wrestling with questions about justification by faith, the role of God’s law, or how to respond to modern challenges to Christianity, this conversation will equip you with both theological depth and practical wisdom.

Episode premieres on Wednesday, March 5 at 4:00 p.m. CST / UTC-6.

INTRO TO SPIRITUAL GIFTS

🔥 ‘Fan into flame the gift of God…’ (2 Timothy 1:6)

Here’s a profound truth: While God sovereignly gives spiritual gifts, we’re called to develop them.

1 Timothy 4:14-15 (ESV) "Do not neglect the gift you have, which was given you by prophecy when the council of elders laid their hands on you. Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress."

Think about it: • God gives the gifts • We fan the flame • Community helps us grow

But how do you ‘fan the flame’ when you’re not sure where to start?

That’s why we created our Intro to Spiritual Gifts course: 📚 10 weeks of biblical teachings 🙏 Guided practice in safe spaces 👥 Small group mentoring 💬 Live Q&A with experienced leaders ✝️ Practical exercises and application

This isn’t about us ‘giving’ you gifts - it’s about helping you discover and develop what God has already placed within you - in a safe space.

Ready to join a community pursuing spiritual gifts in a biblical way?

Registration is open through March 16.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Have a theology question? Drop it here. While we can't guarantee we'll tackle every question, we'll dive into one or two each week. So, fire away and let's explore together!

Question from Lane in Alabama: Let me say from the onset, I absolutely agree with each of you concerning disqualifications in ministry as discussed (using Bickle as an example). However, I do believe there are some ‘allowable’, overt sins that are never addressed, especially with certain Christian leaders that have world-wide influence. After sexual immorality in most moral lists, even in Romans, many of these sins are clearly referenced: arrogance, pride, creating discord, slander, not treating opponents gently, disrespect of another Christian and public humiliation of a brother or sister in Christ, mockery, etc. These become especially egregious when the leader’s audience essentially believes any words spoken from the platform are truthful and Godly … and humor will be used to humiliate or embarrass the other person or group. When humor is used in this manner, it actually emboldens the leader and gives him or her control over the audience in a manipulative, abusive manner. I am NOT comparing these sins to SA, but I strongly believe leaders in the body of Christ need to address these offenses directly and warn these men (mainly) even to the point of discipline and possible intervention. Question: why do we overlook these sins of character, especially evidenced in a leader we are ‘expected to respect’?

Answer: Lane, you’ve raised a crucial and often overlooked issue within Christian leadership: the subtle, yet damaging, sins of character that often go unchecked, especially in those with prominent platforms. We agree that these “allowable” sins – arrogance, pride, creating discord, public disrespect, and manipulative humor – are not only serious but can be incredibly damaging to the body of Christ. The “halo effect” of a leader’s perceived success or influence often blinds us to these character flaws, leading to a dangerous tolerance of unbiblical behavior.

While theological disagreements are inevitable and can even be healthy, the manner in which those disagreements are expressed matters deeply. Public mockery, dismissiveness, and questioning the salvation of fellow believers are not fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), regardless of how “orthodox” one’s theology may be.

That said, we like the analogy of “calling balls and strikes.” You’re right that just because someone’s ministry has produced good fruit in one area doesn’t excuse unbiblical behavior in another. At the same time, we all fall short of God’s standards (Romans 3:23), and sanctification is a lifelong process. This is why it is so important that we surround ourselves with godly accountability partners who will speak truth into our lives - whether you’re on the world stage, a local pastor, or a church member.

Truly, we shouldn’t err on either extreme – either turning a blind eye to sin because someone’s efforts are “good” in some ways, or completely dismissing a person’s entire ministry when something is misaligned with God’s character. There are degrees of seriousness, and every situation is different. Discernment is crucial. We believe it’s okay, and even necessary, to “call balls and strikes” on each situation and each person, acknowledging both the good and the bad, while extending grace and a call to repentance. This is why God gives us the Matthew 18 process. It’s a delicate balance, but one we must strive for to maintain both truth and love within the body of Christ.
