ON THE SHOW THIS WEEK:

Tune in to The Remnant Radio on Monday and Wednesday at 4 p.m. CST and connect with fellow listeners in the chat!

Response: Dr. Jeffrey Sief Defends Tree of Life Translation

Mark Ward, a Bible scholar and TLV critic, has come on Remnant and expressed reservations about the TLV. He questions the extensive use of transliterated Hebrew terms in the translation and raises concerns about its intelligibility for a broader audience. Additionally, Ward challenges the practice of replacing "Lord" in the New Testament with "ADONAI" and the use of Hebrew transliterations for certain terms. You can watch that episode here.

On Monday, we will welcome Dr. Jeffrey Sief to the show to hear his response. Sief has a rich background in theology and ministry, serving as a missionary with the American Board of Missions to the Jews and as a theology ministry professor for twenty-seven years. Dr. Sief worked on the team of Messianic Judaism and Christian scholars commissioned to work on the Tree of Life translation.

Mon, Oct 9, 4 PM CST

In this episode, Seif will defend and elaborate on the Tree of Life Version's merits, addressing Ward's concerns and providing insights into the translation's purpose and significance. We'll explore the TLV's focus on maintaining the Jewish essence of the Bible and its role in connecting readers with the rich heritage of their faith.

Responding to “Cessationist” - Part Three

We will continue our series on responding to the Cessationist documentary. Tune in for Part Three on Wednesday, Oct 11, where we will address their arguments:

1) Hebrews 2:2-3

2) "The wicked generation that seeks a sign" from Matthew 16, and

3) Misrepresentations of church history

Wed, Oct 11, 4 PM CST

PRAYER & PRAISE:

We are extremely grateful for all of our prayer warriors who support the show and our team with intercessory prayers each week. Here are a few prayer points to focus on this week. Thank you for your prayers!

  • Praise: We’ve learned of a new salvation as a result of the Remnant Conference! The new convert said one of the prophetic ministers “told him every conversation they’d had in the last six months.” He has been saved and is now part of a church community. Praise God!

  • Prayer: Please lift up those contacting the show with prayer needs for healing, deliverance and to hear God’s voice.

  • Prayer: For God to open doors and provide paths to those wanting to find a healthy prophetic community across the nation and the world.

  • Prayer: For the students in the Fall 2023 Word & Spirit School of Ministry to hear the Lord’s voice clearly for themselves and others. For testimonies of hearing the Lord’s voice to grow.

Hearing God’s Voice:
Interview with Tania Harris

Join us Monday, Oct 2 at 4 PM CST for an interview with Rev Dr. Tania Harris, the founder of God Conversations and author of the new book The Church That Hears God’s Voice. With a passion for understanding how God speaks and the impact it has on the church, Dr. Harris embarked on a profound journey. Her exploration delves into questions that have intrigued theologians and Christians for centuries: How does God speak? How can we discern His voice? And what significance does it hold for the church?

Drawing from her extensive research and experiences, she offers a comprehensive theology and pastoral strategy to help all sectors of the Church connect with the Spirit's voice.

Responding to “Cessationist” - Part 2

Are the Charismatic gifts real? Speaking in tongues, prophesying, healing, and raising the dead – do these phenomena exist? Charismatic and Pentecostal Christians firmly believe in their authenticity, viewing them as miraculous occurrences. The new documentary "Cessationist" boldly asserts that they have ceased.

Tune in for Part 2 on Wednesday, Oct 4, where we will address their arguments: 1) Miracles are only done by apostles 2) Cascade argument and 3) The Gifts slowly died out.
