Question from Brenda in New York: Watching the episode on Prophetic Word - when someone attends a conference or seminar, I understand we are to seek God, not the healing, not a word of knowledge, etc. What should the attitude of the attendees be? Obviously not everyone will receive a prophetic word or a healing. If they are attending for that reason... the potential that God doesn't hear their cry or petition. But not to just be an observer for entertainment. How should someone approach attending these types of events?

Answer: We recommend that you approach such events with a humble yet expectant heart. Having a personal relationship with Jesus means you are going to the event to connect deeply with a friend—your Lord & Savior. You’re correct that the goal should not be to receive a prophetic word or a healing, but rather to foster a hopeful expectation to grow in your knowledge of God’s Word and your experience of His Spirit. That experience could be your heart soaring during worship, a sense of new peace during prayer ministry, or an insight into Scripture through a teaching session. Hopefully, you leave the conference renewed in your faith as well as motivated and mobilized to spread the Gospel of the Kingdom.
