The Role of Logic & Reason in Theology: Interview with Dr. Jordan Cooper

Ever wondered how the ideas of the Protestant Reformation developed into the systematic theology we know today? Join us as we welcome Dr. Jordan Cooper to discuss his new book “Prolegomena: A Defense of the Scholastic Method.” Dr. Cooper challenges a common belief that there’s a big gap between what the early reformers taught and how later scholars organized these teachings.

We’ll explore: • How Luther’s ideas connect with later Protestant thinking • Why organized, systematic theology matters for modern Christians • How early Protestant scholars built on Reformation foundations • What this means for the church today • Common myths about Protestant scholarly traditions

Some say there’s a conflict between the heart of the Reformation and the careful, organized way later Protestants studied theology. Dr. Cooper shows us why this isn’t true and how both approaches work together to give us a fuller understanding of our faith.

Whether you’re new to church history or a long-time student of theology, this conversation will help you see how careful theological thinking strengthens our understanding of God’s truth. Join us as we bridge the gap between historical Protestant thought and modern-day faith.

EARLY START TIME! Join us Monday, Nov 25 at 3:00 p.m. CST / UTC-6!

Debunking Myths and Fiction About The Council Of Nicaea

In this episode, we uncover the truth about the Council of Nicaea and debunk the myths and fiction that have grown up around it. We'll look into the history, theology, and the controversies that shaped this important Christian event.

We debunk popular misconceptions like the Council's alleged role in creating the Bible, expose the false claims from The Da Vinci Code, and clarify the real story behind the Trinity, the origins of Easter, and the role of Constantine. Did St. Nicholas really attend? Was Christian orthodoxy a political invention? Discover the answers to these questions and more.

This is your ultimate guide to understanding one of the most pivotal moments in church history—without the fiction.

Episode premieres Wednesday, Nov 27 at 4:00 p.m. CST / UTC-6!

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Have a theology question? Drop it here. While we can't guarantee we'll tackle every question, we'll dive into one or two each week. So, fire away and let's explore together!

Sherri from Indiana: I’m attending a church that preaches that salvation happens at a particular moment in time, and if you don't have a testimony of the specific date time and place you were saved then you’re probably not saved. Is this Biblical? I was one of those kids who felt like I had to answer the altar call every time, and I can’t really point to any one experience as being “the one.”

Answer: We’d advise that assurance of salvation should not be based on one specific conversion experience, but rather on faith in Christ’s finished work. While some people may have dramatic conversion experiences, others (like those raised in Christian homes) might not be able to point to one specific moment. The key is not when or how dramatically you were saved, but whether you currently trust in Christ for salvation. The following episode provides more detail:

Bizarre Phenomena EXPLAINED: Aliens, Bigfoot & the Unseen World

Join us for a fascinating episode as we welcome Nate Henry and Luke Rodgers, hosts of the popular Blurry Creatures podcast, to explore the mysterious intersection of faith and unexplained phenomena. Drawing from the theological foundation laid by Dr. Michael Heiser, Blurry Creatures has been investigating enigmatic beings and alternative histories through a biblical lens since 2020.

We’ll dive into compelling questions about: • The biblical account of the Nephilim • Ancient giants in Scripture and history • Modern cryptid sightings and their potential spiritual implications • How Christians should approach unexplained phenomena • The importance of maintaining biblical discernment while exploring the mysterious

Whether you’re skeptical or curious about these “blurry” areas of reality, this conversation will challenge you to consider how these mysteries might fit within a biblical worldview. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore the fringes of the supernatural through a distinctly Christian perspective.

Bring your questions and an open mind as we venture into territory where faith meets the unexplained.

How to Spot a Christian

What makes Christianity… Christianity? In this episode, we explore the non-negotiables of our faith through the lens of the Nicene Creed - the ancient “guardrail” that has protected orthodox belief for nearly 2,000 years.

We’ll unpack: • Why the Nicene Creed matters today • How early church leaders defended core Christian truths • Ancient heresies and their modern counterparts • Tools for recognizing authentic Christian teaching

From Arianism to modern movements like Progressive Christianity and Oneness Pentecostalism, we’ll examine how history’s theological battles continue to shape our present conversations. Whether you’re new to theology or a seasoned student of church history, this episode will equip you to understand and defend historic Christian faith.

Join us for a journey through the foundational truths that have united believers across cultures and centuries. Learn why these ancient words still serve as our theological compass today.

Prophetic Word About Donald Trump: Reviewing Emma Stark & Cindy Jacobs Controversy

In this episode, we'll dive deep into the world of prophecy by examining and testing recent prophetic words from Emma Stark, founder and leader of Global Prophetic Alliance. We'll assess the validity and theological soundness of these prophecies, particularly focusing on claims about Donald Trump and the potential for national chaos.

We'll also examine comments from Cindy Jacobs as her organization, the Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders, tests and reviews Emma’s prophetic word. We’ll discuss the proper channels for submitting and reviewing national-level prophecies as well as critique the current practices within the prophetic community.

Join us as we dissect these claims, offering biblical, historical, and theological insights, while underscoring the need for accountability and integrity in the modern prophetic movement.

Response to ACPE's Follow-Up Statement

The Apostolic Council of Prophetic Elders (ACPE) has released a follow-up email addressing their critique of Emma Stark’s prophetic words. While they position their concerns as rooted in accountability and redemption, several contradictions and problematic elements stand out. You can read Josh’s response below:
