Bizarre Phenomena EXPLAINED: Aliens, Bigfoot & the Unseen World

Join us for a fascinating episode as we welcome Nate Henry and Luke Rodgers, hosts of the popular Blurry Creatures podcast, to explore the mysterious intersection of faith and unexplained phenomena. Drawing from the theological foundation laid by Dr. Michael Heiser, Blurry Creatures has been investigating enigmatic beings and alternative histories through a biblical lens since 2020.

We’ll dive into compelling questions about: • The biblical account of the Nephilim • Ancient giants in Scripture and history • Modern cryptid sightings and their potential spiritual implications • How Christians should approach unexplained phenomena • The importance of maintaining biblical discernment while exploring the mysterious

Whether you’re skeptical or curious about these “blurry” areas of reality, this conversation will challenge you to consider how these mysteries might fit within a biblical worldview. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to explore the fringes of the supernatural through a distinctly Christian perspective.

Bring your questions and an open mind as we venture into territory where faith meets the unexplained.

How to Spot a Christian

What makes Christianity… Christianity? In this episode, we explore the non-negotiables of our faith through the lens of the Nicene Creed - the ancient “guardrail” that has protected orthodox belief for nearly 2,000 years.

We’ll unpack: • Why the Nicene Creed matters today • How early church leaders defended core Christian truths • Ancient heresies and their modern counterparts • Tools for recognizing authentic Christian teaching

From Arianism to modern movements like Progressive Christianity and Oneness Pentecostalism, we’ll examine how history’s theological battles continue to shape our present conversations. Whether you’re new to theology or a seasoned student of church history, this episode will equip you to understand and defend historic Christian faith.

Join us for a journey through the foundational truths that have united believers across cultures and centuries. Learn why these ancient words still serve as our theological compass today.

Episode premieres Wednesday, Nov 20 at 4:00 p.m. CST / UTC-6!

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Have a theology question? Drop it here. While we can't guarantee we'll tackle every question, we'll dive into one or two each week. So, fire away and let's explore together!

Marcus from Mississippi: Hi Remnant, thank you for blessing me every week with your content! What role do tongues play in the corporate gathering of God's people, i.e., in the "church service"? Should there be a place for tongues, or should this practice be confined to more of a small group setting? Thanks and God bless!

Answer: Tongues in a corporate setting should be accompanied by interpretation and practiced in an orderly manner, with no more than two to three speakers in sequence. Sunday morning services are for the mature expression of the gifts, with stricter guidelines than small group settings. We would discourage practices like having everyone speak in tongues simultaneously, as this could be a stumbling block for unbelievers. The primary aim is edification of believers, and interpretation must be present for public expression. While corporate gatherings require this structure, small group settings with all believers present allow for more freedom in practicing the gift.

Here are two episodes with further explanation:

__________

Grace from Texas: I am part of a bible study/small group. Recently, at the beginning of our study we have been taking time to individually pray and asking to receive a word for either an individual in the group or for the group as a whole. I wanted to ask if y’all could give us any guidance as we continue to practice this within our group? As this is something new for majority of the group, we thought starting off with scripture that shows or guides how to pray and receive the gifts of the Spirit would be helpful. Could you point me to scripture that would be helpful?

Answer: Your small group setting is an ideal environment to begin exploring spiritual gifts. For scriptural guidance, start with:

1 Corinthians 14:1 - “Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially prophecy”

John 10:27 - “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”

1 Thessalonians 5:19-21 - “Do not quench the Spirit. Do not treat prophecies with contempt but test them all; hold on to what is good”

1 Corinthians 14:3 - “But the one who prophesies speaks to people for their strengthening, encouraging and comfort”

Some practical tips:

  • Test everything against Scripture

  • Create a safe environment where people can try without fear of judgment

  • Share what you sense God might be saying, rather than declaring “Thus saith the Lord,” and have mature believers present who can help weigh and test prophetic words

  • Remember prophecy should strengthen, encourage, and comfort

Antisemitism, Israel, & End-Times Prophecy: Insights from Jimmy Evans

In this powerful episode of Remnant Radio, we sit down with Pastor Jimmy Evans, best-selling author and eschatology expert, to discuss the rise of antisemitism and the recent Israel-Gaza conflict in light of biblical prophecy. Drawing from his book "What's Next? Israel-Gaza War: Connecting Today's Headlines to Tomorrow's Prophetic Events," Pastor Evans offers insight into the history and significance of the conflict, from the ancient rivalry between Isaac and Ishmael to the strategic role of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount in today’s geopolitical landscape.

Pastor Evans also shares his thoughts on the future, including the role of the Antichrist, the Ezekiel 38 invasion, and how believers can prepare as global conditions worsen.

Don't miss this eye-opening discussion on current events and future prophecies!

Sozo and Scripture: Is Bethel’s Inner Healing Ministry Truly Biblical?

We tackle a pressing question surrounding Sozo, the inner healing and deliverance ministry developed at Bethel Church: Is it biblical? Drawing from core teachings of Sozo—such as identifying lies, closing “doors” to negative influences, and cultivating a deeper relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—we explore whether these practices align with the Bible’s approach to healing and spiritual growth. Is Sozo a fresh method of “renewing the mind” as the Apostle Paul describes, or does it rely on extra-biblical concepts? We’ll examine the key Sozo techniques like the “Father Ladder” and “Four Doors,” assessing them alongside scriptural principles of confession, repentance, and forgiveness.

Join us for an in-depth conversation as we ask, "Is Sozo a biblically sound path to freedom, or does it stray from the teachings of Scripture?" Whether you’re a skeptic or a supporter, this episode will benefit you as we dig deep into the scriptural basis of Sozo’s approach to healing and sanctification.
